Welcome to the Freshly Wiki! We're Freshly Baked, and these are our notes.

If you know us from elsewhere, we invite you to join! If you already have an account with us (either via OIDC or Tailscale), it'll work here too. If not, ping User:Coded or User:Minion wherever you normally communicate and ask for an invite.

The notes here are accessible and editable by everyone who is added by us. So long as you're OK with that, you're welcome to host any content: personal, commercial or otherwise. We will never give anyone under the age of 18 access to non-public pages, so you may use them to host content that is not suitable for minors. We ask that if you host content that people might not want to see, you use the {{ContentWarning}} template at the top of the page to let people know what they're in for.

Follow the rules, play nice, let's build some beautiful notes together.

House rules

2. Keep the instance tidy
   1. Johnny.Decimal systems should be top level categories. Every page you make should be in a Johnny.Decimal system
   2. Things should be under the system they are best related to. Linking between systems is encouraged
   3. If in doubt, make a page under your own category. You can always move it later
   4. When in shared categories, use names that avoid ambiguity where possible - e.g. Skyler Grey not Sky
3. Don’t break what isn’t yours
4. Don’t share private information. You can probably tell what’s private: if you’re here we trust you to make that judgement call. If in doubt, don’t share it or ask the author first
5. Be WP:BOLD. If you see something that should be changed, change it, even if you didn't write it or don't believe you have permission. Consider this rule all the permission you need

How do I use this?

• It's the same markup as Wikipedia, you can look at the reference if you're not familiar
• Johnny Decimal systems are in top-level categories, here's a list of every Johnny Decimal system
  • To avoid ambiguity, we name categories a bit differently from how we did directories on SilverBullet. Here's an example for each of the levels (notice the extra M65 prefixes!)
    1. Category:M65 Skyler Grey
    2. Category:M65.10-19 Administration
    3. Category:M65.13 Named Things
    4. M65.13.01 Redhead
  • You can make a category in much the same way as any other page - start it with Category:
  • You can add a category to a page by linking to the category with double-square-brackets (e.g. [[Category:M65.13 Named Things]], or by using the "Categories" option from the hamburger menu in the visual editor. You probably won't need to do this much, the {{Header}} template will normally take care of adding your Johnny Decimal system category
  • You can make a subcategory by adding a category to its parent in the same way as any other page. Again, the {{Header}} template should do this automatically for Johnny Decimal system categories

I don't have an account..?

This is a mostly-private wiki, accounts are for people we know and contributors. Various pages won't be visible to you without an account and you won't be able to make edits. Some namespaces will be visible to you, these are

• Public: pages
• User: pages

(and, of course, this, the Main Page)

If you don't have an account, you won't be able to search for pages unless you already have a link. If you think you need access to something, please ask someone for a link. If you think you'll need access a lot, ask for an "OIDC account". Alternatively, if you have Tailscale access, you will be automatically logged in when connecting via Tailscale.
